Flying too high...

Outrageous. Why on Earth do I need to attend a course on how to deliver my lessons in English? I'm a freaking English lecturer for God's sake. I teach entirely in English. I should be the one conducting the course. This is demeaning. What will the content lecturers think? They'll all think I'm incompetent. I'll be learning how to say freaking 'hello' to my students. What the hell are you thinking?

Boy was I pissed off about this. It's not easy to accept this. It felt like I was being sent back to pre-school with the little pre-schoolers who think that I don't know the difference between poop and chocolate as they don't. The only reason for it is because the course that our department is having doesn't have enough participants. So we, the ones conducting have to attend the course.

Knowing this, I should be so offended. But it's hard. Knowing that you'll have to do something that you don't need to. Having to put yourself at the same level as others. What's with that? Do I think I'm so great? This is God teaching me to be humble. This may be because I've been floating so high above the sky, I need to learn to come back down. Modesty is one of the most difficult thing to learn and practice. May Allah give me the strength to be patient and learn the ways of being a Muslim.

A king who walks among his subjects dressed as one of them is a strong king. No... I'm not sure what the right saying is....

Cheap Camera...

I love taking pictures. That's why I chose to buy the Nokia N8 instead of, say, the SE Xperia X10 or Samsung Galaxy S. Here are pictures I took using the N8's close-up mode and fully zoomed in. It did come out exactly how I hoped it would, but I'm positive that no other phones could produce pictures in these angles. Though I may be wrong. Despite being 12mega pixels, the camera isn't as good as a digital camera. A dedicated camera. But, I needed a phone, so this was the choice for me.

Dissing My Crowd...

Another random post from me. Have you ever have that feeling that your past has come to haunt you? Well, I'm have a similar feeling, but it more of a 'your procrastination has come to bite you in the arse!'. I've put KIK aside to focus on LecturE 5, (not so much as going berjimba-jimba with friends though). I assumed that we could easily cancel our participation in KIK, or rather, render in irrelevant as it's going to overlap with LecturE 5 which is APB's main focus of this semester. But I guess now the ghost of KIK's past has come to bite me in my tuchus. And quite a big bite it's taking. Now I'm in a lot of trouble...
